Standing Ovation

Written By Theodore R. Goyins, III “TRG3”
Dedicated to my mother on her 50th Birthday. “Standing Ovation” because you deserve one.

Excerpt

Audience of three yet you have always captivated the world
We sat as you conducted the beautiful sounds of our orchestra
You walked us through the rhythms and melodies of life
Creating beautiful sounds for the world’s ears
Our life soundtrack emulated that of any movie masterpiece
You could score a film depicting the biography of the greatest mother in the world.
Your precision through the high and low notes of life echoed from the walls which surrounded you
Permeating the hearts of those who got caught in the path of your wavelengths
In your midst one could never hear the music of a horror film, but only the humming of your heavenly spirit.

Very nice imagery. I like this line. Its beautiful. You are getting to be a much better poet. The growth of your pacing and selection of vocabulary is amazing to watch develop.

It is in the realm of simple and emotive storytelling that this and your pieces succeed. Bravo. To the writer.

    And call your Uncle sometime.

    Namaste,
    G
